We accept paper, cardboard, containers made of glass, plastic, tin, aluminum or steel. We also take computers and electronics, batteries, cell phones, light bulbs, mercury and yard waste. Visit our services webpage for more detail.
Save them until our tire clean sweep. This is an annual collection usually occurring in September. Residents can bring in their tires for a minimal fee. Tires are also accepted at the Ridgeview Landfill throughout the year for a fee.
Latex paint can be dried out and disposed of in the garbage. Otherwise save your paint until the Manitowoc annual Household Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep. This event is usually held in the spring. Residents can bring in paint and other hazardous waste for proper disposal. The Brown County Recycling Center accepts paint throughout the year, call 920-492-4950 for details.
We do not handle residential accounts. Contact your local hauler’s customer service department. Their number should be listed in the phone book or on your garbage/recycling bill. You may bring your recycling in to the MRF (Materials Recycling Facility) at 3000 Basswood Road.

Yes, garden and yard waste can be composted. Some items not accepted at the compost site are kitchen scraps, branches over 5 feet long or greater than 6 inches across, stumps, sod, soil, sand, gravel or lumber.
