Highlight:
Major functions of the County Clerk’s Office are the sale of DNR licenses, marriage licenses, voter registration, work permits, and passport application services. The County Clerk's Office also provides administrative and clerical services to the County Board, other County Departments, and other units of Government. The office also administers elections for county offices and provides declaration of candidacy and nomination papers to candidates. The County Clerk's office maintains the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS) for some municipal governments. The SVRS is a voter database system which enables the State of Wisconsin to comply with the Help America Vote Act. |
Mission
Statement:
The Office of the County Clerk is duty-bound by Wisconsin Statutes and as otherwise directed by the needs of the County Board and the public to provide administrative and clerical services to the Board, to the Public, to other County Departments, and to other units of Government. The County Clerk's Office is responsible for disseminating information on general government, elections, marriage licensing, domestic partnerships, and conservation licensing. We are dedicated to providing the best service to the public. |
