| Health Screening - Aging and Disability Resource Center |
| | Provides regularly scheduled blood pressure screenings at the twelve nutrition sites and many of the larger housings in the county for people age 60 and older. Also coordinates foot care clinics at many of the same sites.

| Home and Vermi Composting Classes - Public Works |
| | Throughout the year, home and vermi (worm) composting classes are offered at the MRF (Materials Recycling Facility). The home composting class is a general introduction to composting. The vermi composting class goes into detail on how to set-up a worm-composting bin for kitchen scraps. |

| | Home compost bins are for sale at the MRF (materials recycling facility) office on Basswood Road. There are two styles to choose from that are ideal for residential composting of home, yard and garden waste.

| Household Hazardous Waste - Public Works |
| | In May of each year the County has offered a collection of Household Hazardous materials. This provides an opportunity for county residents to safely and properly dispose of hazardous waste; like cleaners, pesticides, solvents, antifreeze and waste oils. |
