| | As of July 1, 2001, UCC filings (except for those attached to real estate), that were formerly sent to Manitowoc County, should be filed with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI). Financing statements that received Continuations in the prior system need special handling. The documents that were previously titled, Assignments, Continuations & Partial Releases, are not titled Amendments. Financing statements that attach to real property are now recorded with the local register of deeds office at the current recording fee rate.
